Apologies for the lack of posts over the last few days. I meant to post friday, but didn’t because this happened:

Saturday didn’t happen because it was my birthday. I had a fabulous day. Had pancakes for breakfast:

And spent the afternoon with family at Lake Leschenaultia:
If you haven’t been there, go. It’s a man-made lake east of Mundaring in the Perth hills with camping grounds, kayaks to hire, bbqs, a cafe and best of all, it now has free entry. Despite it being school holidays here and the lake having quiet a few people enjoying the water (which my niece informed me was ‘cold’) it didn’t seem busy or crowded. Definitely a place to return to. Much food was eaten, swimming and kayaking was done and it was a very pleasant day relaxing and talking with family.
As for sunday, well, I’ll probably rarely post on sunday as I try to keep it as unconstructive as possible, it helps me stay sane with PhD. I spent the day in nupp city trying the get the edging done on my Echo Flowers Shawl. I didn’t get it finished, I still have two rows of nupps to go but I’m not far from being able to bind off (touch wood).
