I didn’t mean to leave it so long between blog posts and I think it’s a case of life getting in the way. Life here = PhD. For the last week I’ve been bogged down in finishing a draft of the next chapter of my dissertation. I managed to get it finished friday and now it just needs to sit and marinate while I work on the next bit (which is really reading a book, and I should probably go do that).
The other reason for my absence is that I’ve been working on a new knitting design. I’m not going to say much about it yet except that while I like version one, I need to get some yarn (alas none of the right yarn in stash for this project) so I can knit version two and see if my alternate idea works. I’m just trying to find the right colour for it.
I really should get back to doing something constructive instead of faffing about looking at pretty yarn. If you haven’t already heard of them go check out Dye For Yarn and Dye For Wool. Their colours are delicious with incredibly unique names and every time they do an update the collector in me wants *everything*.
